Alpen Ridge Hotel Niseko

Alpen Ridge Hotel Niseko sits in Hirafu village with the ski runs right behind it. It has 31 rooms, from studios up to a four bedroom penthouse, and is looked after by Niseko WOW. After the hotel renovated its lobby and changed its logo, Niseko WOW asked us for a new set of images covering the whole property.

We worked through it in stages over the 2025 to 2026 season. First came the shared spaces: the lobby lounge with its timber slat ceiling and fireplace, the stepped seating area and the ski locker room. Then the guest residences, including the penthouse with its open plan living room and kitchen.

The last part of the brief was location. Guests book Alpen Ridge for its ski-in ski-out access, so the hotel wanted images that place the building in its surroundings. We waited for a clear spring day in April 2026 to shoot the facade and fly the drone over Hirafu, and from the upper floors we framed the chairlift below the building and Mount Yotei across the valley, including one view straight from the bath.
