Club Med Sahoro
Miaja Design Group designed the two renovated restaurants at Club Med Sahoro Hokkaido: Daichi, the main restaurant with its all day buffet, and Mina Mina, the specialty restaurant styled as a Japanese izakaya. Once the work was finished, the studio asked us to photograph both spaces for its portfolio, with the Club Med team helping on site.
The brief was every area of both restaurants at two times of day, golden hour and evening. The resort team needed time to set each space up around service, so we stayed overnight on 13 March 2026 and worked through the rooms as the daylight faded and the interior lighting took over.
Mina Mina is all warm timber: a woven umbrella canopy over the central tables, curved timber arches around the booths, a bar hung with handwritten menu boards and a mural running down the entrance stair. Daichi is brighter and more open, with buffet stations framed in timber and copper, colourful screens, a teal dining zone and big windows onto the snow. Alongside the full edit we delivered a small set of retouched hero images for the designers.
